Cybersecurity in cloud environments is relatively new and as such comes with challenges and threats. In this workshop, you will be introduced to the three cloud service delivery models, four deployment models, and their essential characteristics. You’ll also be a part of a detailed discussion of the threats and opportunities the cloud provides to businesses and their project managers as they transition from an on-premise environment to the cloud.

Meet Your Instructor: Pete Wood

Pete is an established cybersecurity expert, bringing 16 years of dedicated IT and cybersecurity experience to his workshops. His previous experience includes 23 years of service in the U.S. Navy followed by project management and cybersecurity risk assessment work in the Department of Defense, Healthcare, Energy, and Finance industries. Pete currently works for one of the largest banks in the U.S. and has instrumental in the development and maintenance of information security business processes and controls. He has also identified, documented, and remediated control gaps and issues related to the bank’s technology transition to the cloud. Pete has a MBA in Management Information Systems and holds multiple professional certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK).
